Commissoning of Africa's First Cabin CKD Production Line of HDT

Recently, the press conference for the launch and operation of "Cab Complete Knock-Down (CKD) Plant " phase II project of Dangote Sinotruk West Africa Ltd. was successfully held in Lagos. Godswill Akpabio, President of the Nigerian Senate, and Babajide Sanwo Olu, Governor of Lagos State, representatives of the Nigerian national and local governments, as well as nearly 1,000 political and business celebrities and journalists attended the ceremony.

As the first medium and heavy-duty truck cab CKD production line in Nigeria and even Africa, it has achieved local CKD assembly for all processes such as welding, electrophoresis, coating, interior and assembly, unveiling a new technological breakthrough in commercial vehicle manufacturing of Nigeria, as well as green and sustainable development embraced by the traditional manufacturing industry.

The commercial launch will create more jobs for local people and increase government’s tax revenue, drive the development of local commercial vehicle industry chain, cultivate and reserve talents in the heavy-duty truck industry, and reduce vehicle manufacturing costs by less payment of taxes and fees through CKD assembly, thereby benefiting the healthy development of local economy and people's livelihood.
